Global

  • 🇬🇧 🇮🇱 [30 November 2025] UK and Israel launch new AI cooperation framework with Abraham Accords partners: Israel and the United Kingdom have launched a regional framework to enhance cooperation in AI with Abraham Accords partners. This initiative was formalized in Tel Aviv through a memorandum of understanding between the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) and the UK Abraham Accords Group (UKAAG). The agreement aims to utilize AI as a stabilizing tool among nations that have normalized relations with Israel, focusing on health, energy, education, and governance. The parties plan to establish shared training programs, set regional benchmarks for ethical AI use, and form working groups to oversee development projects.

Asia

  • 🇨🇳 [29 November 2025] China to strengthen ethical review of AI patents: It is reported that, at a press conference held by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), senior CNIPA official Jiang Tong said that China will enhance the ethical review process for AI patents to ensure compliance with laws, social ethics, and public interests. The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has announced that revised patent review guidelines, effective 1 January 2026, will include a dedicated section on AI and big data. This section mandates that AI-related technical solutions, such as data collection and rule setting, adhere to legal and ethical standards. Additionally, it outlines requirements for describing model construction and training, addressing potential issues related to the opaque nature of AI models. The CNIPA also emphasized plans to deepen international cooperation and ensure equal intellectual property rights protection for both domestic and foreign enterprises, fostering a favorable business environment and promoting dual circulation in domestic and international markets.
