The Global AI Regulation Tracker now covers all 50 US states, both the website and the API version 🇺🇸
Now when you hover your mouse over the US map, the individual states will appear. Click a state to see both the federal and state profile. If it’s too small to click, just search the state in the search bar. Check out the below demo video.
In the API version, the states are denoted as "US-XX" with "XX" being the two-letter ISO code for that US state (e.g. California is "US-CA", Texas is "US-TX", etc). The full list of country codes for the API are set out here: https://www.techieray.com/GlobalAIRegulationTracker/countrycodes
To me, this is as big of a milestone as completing all countries on the map. Not going to lie, it's like building another tracker. But I knew it was important because so much of what's actually binding in the US right now (algorithmic discrimination, chatbot disclosure, deepfakes, kids' safety, health AI) is happening at state level, not federal. If I'm going to claim this as the "global" AI regulation tracker, then I've got to track every single US state too. The US 250th anniversary was the motivation I needed to get this job done (+ the dope beats of this anthem remix).
